Aston Martin F1 pen deal with Crypto.com

British outfit will work with cryptocurrency platform on exclusive experiences for fans.

  • Crypto.com to receive branding on team’s 2021 car
  • Deal marks first of its kind in Formula One

The Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team has announced a multi-year partnership with cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com.

As part of the deal, the pair will collaborate to bring exclusive experiences to fans of the team and traders, while Crypto.com will receive branding on Aston Martin's 2021 cars, which are to be unveiled on 3rd March.

A fast-growing cryptocurrency brand, Crypto.com recently passed ten million users.

The partnership marks the first of its kind in Formula One, as cryptocurrency firms have started to expand into various sports, such as Nascar and English soccer’s Premier League.

  • Aston Martin F1 add security with Netapp

"I am very impressed by the vision of the Crypto.com management and the tremendous speed at which their platform is growing," Lawrence Stroll, executive chairman at Aston Martin, said in a statement.

"I am sure this partnership will bring a fresh perspective to both our businesses and introduce both brands to new audiences.

We are proud of our heritage, but as this deal shows we are also a very modern team.”

The new deal follows several sponsorship agreements signed by Aston Martin ahead of the 2021 season, which begins on 26th March at Bahrain International Circuit.

In recent weeks, the team has agreed deals with Best Water Technology (BWT), cloud software and data management company Netapp, cybersecurity specialist SentinelOne and Swiss luxury watchmaker Girard-Perregaux.
