Liquid launches crypto ledger book for Singapore stablecoin

Liquid, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency-fiat exchange platforms by trade volume, is partnering with Xfers, a Singapore-based B2B payment platform, to introduce the first-of-its-kind crypto ledger order book for XSGD/SGD transactions on Liquid

Powered by open-source blockchain protocols, XSGD is an SGD stablecoin, which has 1:1 parity with the Singapore Dollar.

XSGD serves as an on-ramp for the SGD markets, enabling Liquid users to quickly and easily access the BTC/SGD markets.

Headquartered in Japan, Liquid is consistently among the top 10 exchanges by fiat-cryptocurrency volume and has one of the best user experiences in service levels and security in the industry.

Liquid is also one of the first global exchanges to adopt multi-party computing (MPC) for securing cryptographic assets.

Currently serving a global market, Liquid has been rapidly growing its services and features recently with the goal of an enhanced user experience.

Liquid and Xfers will together benefit from the power of Blockchain to help customers instantly deposit and convert their SGD to XSGD stablecoin.

Liquid will act as a gateway for SGD holders to convert to XSGD and participate in cryptocurrency markets and act as a gateway to the DeFi ecosystem.

It will also ensure that Liquid’s quality markets become available to XSGD users and Liquid’s customers from Singapore.

“We are very excited to partner with Liquid, a pioneer in building digital assets markets with a strong APAC presence.

Liquid and Xfers’ common approach of offering both high-quality products and high levels of regulatory compliance provided a great platform for collaboration.

We are thrilled that Liquid’s many quality markets will become available to XSGD users and Singaporeans through this XSGD listing.” Aymeric Salley, Head of StraitsX, Xfers

“Our goal is to partner with local regulated stablecoin issuers in various jurisdictions is realized by listing XSGD.

Users can easily and quickly deposit their SGD to Xfers, convert to the XSGD stablecoin, realize the power of blockchain by sending to Liquid, and start trading 150+ pairs at Liquid immediately.”

Marisa McKnight, Head of Product, Liquid.
