Brave launches Brave Firewall + VPN, a security utility for iPhones and iPads powered by Guardian. This tool has the ability to preserve the data of all applications running on iOS, and not just those contained in Brave.
Brave Software’s collaboration with Guardian
Brave Software, the publisher of the Brave crypto-browser is working with Guardian, a company specializing in computer security, to create a Brave Firewall + VPN, powered by Guardian.
Thanks to this partnership, these two pioneers in the field of personal data protection hope to offer the safest web browsing experience possible.
Brave Firewall + VPN, powered by Guardian, is a big part of our mission to improve web browsing and empower users over the use of their own data.
Aaid Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder by Brave Software.
Brave and Guardian share the same ideals when it comes to protecting privacy on the internet, where surveillance is ubiquitous.
By integrating Guardian’s technology into Brave’s browser, we provide a powerful solution for a much-improved web experience, three to six times faster than conventional browsers, and much more secure and private.
Said Will Strafach, Managing Director General of Guardian.

Brave improves the security of iPhones and iPads
The tool is integrated with the Brave navigation app for iOS operating systems. This is a premium feature, available for $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Subscriptions can be made directly with the application. Once subscribed, the user must activate the associated parameter.
Brave Firewall + VPN operates system-wide. This means that it not only ensures the security of data within Brave, but also that of any other application used on the iPhone or iPad.
While most browsers offering VPNs simply hide the user’s IP address, Brave Firewall + VPN additionally offers the ability to encrypt and protect the traffic of the entire device. It also blocks unapproved tracking activities.
Brave Firewall + VPN’s single sign-on system does not require the use or retention of personal information. Instead, a pseudonymous digital receipt from the App Store allows users to access the VPN.
In the community, some believe that Brave ventures into anything and everything.
Yet Brave’s 15 million monthly active users testify to internet users’ frustration with the capitalist intrusion of trackers, data mining tools and intrusive ads.
